Harry Styles admits that he feels uncomfortable with netizen gossip about his romance with Olivia Wilde.
Harry Styles responded to negative comments made by netizens regarding his love relationship with actress Olivia Wilde.
"It definitely doesn't make me feel good," the As it Was singer told Rolling Stone, quoted by ET, Monday (22/8) US time.
Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde started their relationship in 2020, after working together on the film Don't Worry Darling.
Since then, they've been in the spotlight by some Harry Styles fans who have taken issue with the 10-year age gap between the lovebirds.
Harry Styles, who has dated a number of high-profile figures since his heyday as a member of One Direction, admits that while the gossip is not uncommon, it still makes him uncomfortable.
"Just imagine," said Harry Styles. "Second time dating someone and feeling 'OK, there's this group, and they're going to say this,' and it's going to be really crazy and they can be really mean and that's not really what happened."
Meanwhile, when asked about her opinion of Styles fans, Olivia Wilde said they are loving people.
He considers that the behavior of people who give hate speech to the couple is very contrary to the principles of music created by Styles.
"That kind of venom is the complete opposite of Harry, and all the [work] he puts out there," said Wilde, 38.
"I personally don't believe hate represents his fans at all. The majority of them are the real winners of goodness," he continued.
Wilde and Styles were previously reported to be more serious in a relationship after rumors of dating since January 2021. They were said to be dating since holding hands at a wedding.
Their increasingly serious relationship is known from a source who provided information to People. The source explained that Wilde and Styles seemed very serious, spent all the time together, and were happy with each other.
In April 2022, sources also said Styles and Wilde were serious about the relationship.
The relationship seems to show that Wilde has moved on from his ex, Jason Sudeikis. The two of them were previously in a relationship since 2011 and separated in early 2020.
Meanwhile, Styles himself was last known to be in a relationship with model Camille Rowe. They started a relationship in mid-2017 then decided to separate one year later.
