This animated film currently available on Netflix is an excellent feature film and suitable for all audiences from 6 years old.
Like Animals tells the secret life that our pets lead once we leave them alone at home to go to work or school. We owe the film to Chris Renaud , who created Despicable Me 1 and 2, but also The Lorax and Yarrow Cheney , who will direct the animated film The Grinch released in 2018.

We follow Max and Duke, two dogs who hate each other, forced to stick together after being inadvertently attacked by cats and then threatened with the pound. The interest of Like Beasts is based first of all on the subtle blend of the "cuteness" of certain absolutely adorable animals and their character, sometimes the opposite.
Then, some rejected animals are ready to make the revolution to take revenge on the humans who domesticated them often by mistreating them. An interesting background subject and very well conducted throughout the film.
What they will like:
- The sequence of well-made, dynamic action sequences and the well-felt dialogues that accompany them.
- The beauty of the scenery and the animals, superbly animated and expressive.
- The very strong link between animals and their masters when they take care of them. Be careful, your children are very likely to ask for a dog on their birthday!
What may worry them:
- The sequences of the sewers then the shallows, which are deliberately a little disturbing. Fortunately, the rabbit's enthusiasm and charisma make the passage easier for the little ones.
- Do not be fooled by appearances. The cutest animals aren't always the friendliest and can be dangerous.
